Natural Stress Relief

As a full time office bee, in a busy city. You can imagine right? Traffic, noise, rush hour, workload, deadline, the life that makes me feel like running in a marathon five days a week. And yes, this causes me a lot of stress. I just can't wait for the weekend to come.

Weekend Natural Stress Relief

First of all, I'm surprised myself that I woke up on the weekend as early as I go to work. The difference is with enthusiasm! Does it happen to anyone? I think it's because I'm looking forward to my days off so I can pamper myself.

Lately, I discovered some simple ways to relieve stress and I think it works.

1. Facing yourself in the sun

I usually go for a beach walk. I live in a seaside city and it's just 10 minutes walk from my place. Lucky me. I stroll down along the sea front, never count how many kilometers, but approximately an hour each time. Face the sunlight, cool breeze, and sometimes I sit there for a while looking far far away to the line where the sky meets the sea, hearing the seagulls and the waves.

2. Looking at green

Wandering in the park is also a good idea. When it's nice weather, I like to go to the park, spotting at plants and trees. Sitting on the grass, touching it, feeling it and looking around the nature helps relax myself even just 10-15 minutes. You should try spending this moment too.

3. Hearing the wind - Listening to the birds

Take some time to listen to the nature. I find it soothing to stop and listen to the birds and the wind in the trees. Even in the cloudy day, I close my eyes and feel it through my ears and body.

4. Looking outside the window

This way is to search for nature without leaving home. The weather isn't always nice 365 days. Sometimes I just stare outside the window or balcony looking at flowers or green color. It's really calming. A few minutes will also work.

Life is hard with duties and stress already. Be kind to ourselves. Try to spare some time to connect with nature, and you will see the difference. And you know what... it's for free!
